Hello Embroiderers

Many years ago when I was girl I used sit beside my Nan and watch her work magic with a needle and a piece of thread. I also tried to do the same.

At first my attempts were clumsy and crude, full of knots and breaks and that was on the front of the work! Gradually I got the hang of things and I was off. I experimented with every stitch I could find.

The great thing for me was my Nans embroidery library. A wonderful place full of great ideas, new stitches, new techniques, a veritable treasure trove.

I would like to make this site a tribute to my Nan.
